Art in the Park

Growing interest over the years has increased the number of displays, now numbering about 40 booths representing artists and craftsmen from Nebraska and neighboring states. Musical and theatrical entertainment is provided by about 50 volunteer performers. Sponsored by the Imperial Chamber of Commerce, it is held in on the third Saturday of July on the courthouse square in downtown Imperial.

Grant Golf Course

Grant Golf Course features a nine-hole, grass green course. The reasonably priced public course offers a variety of holes in the rolling hills of Southwest Nebraska that are great for beginners while offering a challenge for expert golfers. Visitors welcomed and no tee times are necessary.

The Texas Trail - Beginning in 1875, Union Pacific Railroad designated Ogallala as its main shipping point. For the next decade, thousands of longhorn cattle were trailed from Texas through Perkins County.
