13 - 14 Herington Gun Show - The Herington Gun & Knife Show will be held on Oct 14th - 15th, 2017 in Herington, Kansas. This Herington gun show is held at Herington Community Building and hosted by Herington Gun Show. All federal, state and local firearm ordinances and laws must be obeyed.
I have been putting on this show for 16 years. We put on 2 shows per year. Great food. Great people. Wide selection of Firearms! Used. New. And darn hard to get NEW!! Got a few Coins, and Knives too.
Food for sale on premises. No loaded weapons. All gun laws enforced. Night guards on duty.

25 Halloween Parade - Costumed children and pets parade through downtown Herington at 5:30 p.m.
Register at 4:30 p.m. at corner of First and Main for drawings for stuffed animals and bikes given away by Tri-County Chamber of Commerce. Judging of costumed pets will be at 4:30 for prizes given by Tri-County Veterinary Center.

Father Padilla Park

Father Padilla Memorial Park features a monument to Juan Padilla, who was killed in 1542. The shaded park has picnic facilities, playground facilities, gazebo, tennis court, basketball, nine-hole disc golf course, and baseball diamonds. Admission to the park's WPA-built swimming pool is free.
