Homewood Rail Committee of the Village of Homewood hosts its annual "Railroad Heritage Days." On Saturday, symposiums at Homewood Library from 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m., free admission. Annual Multi-media rail photography show held at St. Joseph's Church gymnasium from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Located at 17949 Dixie Highway. Admission: $2.00
Sunday, Rail Days at Park District gymnasium next door to Village Hall on Chestnut. Vendors, layouts, Lil Obie rides, equipment display. Fun for all. Free admission. Hours 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

We have a Rail watching platform overseeing Canadian National freight as well as Metra and Amtrak. We also have a Rail Park.
