3 - 4 Balloons of Hope - Hot air balloon races Friday and Saturday mornings, destination is Hope Municipal Airport. Balloon glows are Friday and Saturday nights at Hope Fair Park. Activities: classic car show, antique autos, tractors and engines; arts and crafts booths, food concessions, live music and entertainment at Fair Park. Event is growing each year, daytime tethered balloon rides available this year. RV parking available. Sponsored by Sentimental Journey to Southwestern Proving Ground Organization.

4 Annual Hope Chamber of Commerce Free Bluegrass Festival - The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce has three Bluegrass events each year. All three are free events and feature national, regional, and local Bluegrass acts. The winter Bluegrass show is held in February. The Bluegrass Festival is generally Mother's Day week-end in May, and the fall show is in November.
