Lakeside Country Club

category : Golf Courses
Lakeside Country Club in Peabody offers plenty of golf for very little money. For $3.00 you can play nine holes. If you're a marathon golfer, chip in an extra $2.00 and play as long as there's light. But Tuesday nights are reserved for women and Wednesday nights for men.

Sand greens provide a unique challenge for those who play the course in Peabody. For golfers used to grass greens, the sand greens increase the challenge. Not only does the surface change putting strategy, the size of the sand greens also alters drives. The greens are roughly half the size of most grass greens, so it's tougher to get on the green. Along with the challenge of sand greens, the course also has two ponds that affect play on four of the holes. The combination of water and sand make this a tough course.
