Long Branch Lake Boating

category : Boating
Long Branch Lake Boating The four-mile fetch of open water at Long Branch provides water skiers and sail boaters ample room to maneuver. The main body of the lake is the East Fork arm between the dam and Axtell Road. Timber was left standing in the Long Branch arm of the lake to provide fish habitat with the resulting standing trees making for hazardous boating conditions on that arm of the lake.

Access to the lake is provided by three boat ramps located in the Bloomington, Bee Trace and Macon areas of Long Branch State Park. The boat ramps are open 24 hours a day. There is no fee to launch boats at Long Branch.

Long Branch Marina offers a variety of services to the public including a concession store, bait and fishing supplies, slip rentals, tube rentals, pontoon rentals, and gasoline sales. More boats will be added to the rental fleet in the future. Summer hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Call the Long Branch Marina at 660-773-5558 if you need additional information about services offered.
