4 - 5 Southeast Kansas Home Show - This event features area businesses in the home repair, home building, and home d├ęcor area. Set up like a typical trade show with a low entry fee for consumers. Businesses you will see range from Herrman Lumber and The Home Store to TLC Nursery and Sherwin Williams. Drawings for door prizes are conducted throughout the day. Attendees can also attend How-To Workshops on various topics.

18 - 20 2015 - Annual Katy Days Festival - In 1870 the first Missouri-Kansas-Texas train rolled into a new town in southeast Kansas, that would become Parsons, and the railroad would be remembered as the Katy! One-hundred forty-five years later, Parsons celebrates its railroad heritage and town history with the Katy Days Festival. Renew old friendships, rekindle memories and enjoy three days of food, fun, entertainment and railroad-related activities, May 22, 23 & 24, 2015 in Parsons, KS. Memorial Day Weekend.
