26 - 28 Adams County Country Garden Mother's Day - Three-day outdoor festival on a 158 acre rural farm showcases a wide selection of landscape plants. GoodSeed Farm is a destination garden center on the Adams County Quilt Barn Mural Trail. The festival features handmade Appalachian crafts, traditional music, nature walks, horse-drawn hayrides, and craft demonstrations. Food served all three days.

FREE PeeGee Hydrangea for every mother. 8AM-6PM Friday and Saturday, 10AM-5PM Mother's Day Sunday.

9 Summer Solstice Sunset Celebration - Summer Solstice Sunset Celebration at Serpent Mound - 8:00 p.m. Take part in a guided hike to explore how past cultures used Serpent Mound as an ancient time piece. The discussion will include a comparison of this site with other cultures and solstice markers around the world. The event concludes watching the sunset line up with the head of Serpent Mound.

17 Archaeology & Ohio Geology Day - Archaeology & Ohio Geology Day at Serpent Mound, 10:00a.m to 5:00 p.m. Members from different chapters of the Archaeological Society of Ohio will display their artifacts and be available to answer questions from the public. Plus, learn about Adams County's unique geological feature "the Serpent Mound Crypto Explosion Area," as well as, the three different soil types that make the county's flora so diverse.

Help volunteers light over 900 luminary candles outlining the serpent effigy. Reflect upon the history and the importance of this world-renowned earthwork. Please bring a candle to help "Light the Serpent."
