Entertainment/Menu Announced -- THIS IS FOR 2016

The Chase County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Cowgirl’s Train Set will perform at the 2016 River Suite dinner on the bridge. River Suite is an unforgettable Flint Hills experience held annually on the eve of Symphony in the Flint Hills.

This year’s enchanting event will take place on Friday, June 10, on the historic Cottonwood River Bridge overlooking the waterfall in downtown Cottonwood Falls.

Surrounded by the unforgettable jewel tones of a Kansas summer sunset, guests will be drawn to the white peaked tents and the aroma of a well-mastered selection of Flint Hills inspired delicacies inviting the senses to partake in the breathtaking experience of fine dining on the charming bridge.

Guests will be treated to a mouthwatering dinner thoughtfully composed of a 12-ounce Ribeye Steak, Spinach Salad, Amaretto Carrots, Twice Baked Potato and Homemade Rolls, finished with a selection of Fruit Cobblers and Homemade Ice Cream.

Along with the amazing meal the event offers a Cash Bar of Beer and Wine. Buckets of Beer and Bottles of Wine will be available for purchase.

Following the dinner, Cowgirl’s Train Set will entertain patrons with their unique upbeat twist on acoustic folk music.

Cowgirl’s Train Set, composed of six band members, has evolved over the years into what they describe as a “cacophony of sound.” By artfully taking their folk roots and twisting them with gipsy, swing, punk, and anything they can get their hands on, this Lawrence, Kansas based group is making their way around the states … bringing to life the bass, fiddle, banjo, saxophone, guitar and their blend of voices to create an experience the Examiner.com reported, “kept a full crowd captivated from beginning to end.”

This magical event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The concert by Cowgirl’s Train Set will begin at 8 p.m.

Sample tracks by Cowgirl’s Train Set and more information about the band can be found by visiting www.cowgirlstrainset.com.

Tickets for the captivating evening are $75 each; Tables of six or eight may also be procured for this memorable event.
