Oklahoma's crosstimbers region on Lake Texoma provides a desirable atmosphere for those seeking good fishing, good friendship, and a more out-of-the-way camping area. Lake Texoma is a large reservoir with an excellent fishery and many access points. Boating, swimming, skiing, hunting, bird watching, and lounging on the sandy beaches are the typical pursuits of most visitors. It features two wildlife refuges, two State Parks, and twenty-three commercial concession areas dedicated to the enjoyment of over 8 million visitors annually. Most COE Campgrounds are open from April 01 to October 31 except for the Damsite Parks which are open year round.
