21 - 22 Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament - First Sunday - The tournament draws over 65, two person teams from all over Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, and Iowa and as far away as Missouri. It is the only icefishing tournament that pays 100 percent of the entry fees back to the top 20 places. Cork Thornton was an avid icefisherman who died in an auto accident.

28 Annual Heart City Bull Bash - Sixty plus pens of bulls and commercial exhibits will be set up on Main Street ready for commercial cattlemen's scrutinizing eyes. Over 15 breeds and composites will be represented at the show with over $1,000,000 of cattle and machinery on display. It is not a contest or sale. It's simply an exhibit of great cattle and a chance to see a lot of cattle in one location. 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

27 Classic Motor Club Car Show and Cruise Night - Participants will gather in the parking lot of Scotty's Ranchland Foods before 6 p.m. At 6:00, the parade will start on the planned route. After the parade, cars will meet back at Scotty's for a parking lot show and shine, music, and food. As always, a stand will be set up for sales of Car Show T-Shirts. This year's show will not be judged as in the past.
