Event Details

Celebrate the culture of the Ottawa tribe at this fun-filled event over Labor Day weekend. Friday night there will be a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a stomp dance at 8:00pm. On Saturday, enjoy a turkey dance at 10:00am followed by a camp feast at noon and then return for the evening session which will include a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a war dance at 8:00pm. On Sunday, the Indian Junior Olympics will be held at 10:00am and the evening session will include a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a war dance at 8:00pm. Authentic Indian traders, food concessions, and grandstand seating in a covered arena make this a great event for the whole family. The celebration will be held at Adawe Indian Park which is 5 miles east and 1 mile south of Miami, Oklahoma.
