Tuttle Creek Campgrounds

Seven campgrounds are conveniently located around Tuttle Creek Lake. The Corps manages two of these campgrounds in Stockdale and Tuttle Creek Cove Parks. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks manages each of the four state park campgrounds.

Campers are accommodated with developed facilities in nine separate parks surrounding the lake, which include Canning Creek Cove, Custer Park, Kansa View, Kit Carson Cove, Marina Cove, Neosho Park, Outlet Channel, Richey Cove, and Santa Fe Trail. There are 172 campsites total, 142

Tuttle Creek Hunting

The Department of Wildlife and Parks managed more than 12,000 acres in the upper reaches of the project. Burned-off wheat stubble and sunflower fields attract doves in early fall. Deer and turkey hunting is good in the woody draws and river bottoms. Fox squirrels , KS Hunting


Council Grove Fishing

The lake has a combination of steep rocky shoreline and shallow mudflats. Two good fishing streams, Munkers Creek on the east and the Neosho River on the west, feed the lake.

Fall River Trails

Two new trails have recently opened in the park. Casner Creek has some beautiful fall wildflowers and is a great trail for the wildflower enthusiast!

El Dorado Lake Camping

A variety of campsites are available in El Dorado State Park. Nearly 1,100 campsites in four campgrounds offer visitors utility hookups or primitive sites. Primitive camping is restricted to designated sites; please take your trash with you. The Walnut River Campground
