Event Details

Celebrate the culture of the Ottawa tribe at this fun-filled event over Labor Day weekend. Friday night there will be a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a stomp dance at 8:00pm. On Saturday, enjoy a turkey dance at 10:00am followed by a camp feast at noon and then return for the evening session which will include a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a war dance at 8:00pm. On Sunday, the Indian Junior Olympics will be held at 10:00am and the evening session will include a gourd dance at 7:00pm and a war dance at 8:00pm. Authentic Indian traders, food concessions, and grandstand seating in a covered arena make this a great event for the whole family. The celebration will be held at Adawe Indian Park which is 5 miles east and 1 mile south of Miami, Oklahoma.

Twin Bridges State Park is located in far northeast Oklahoma at the junction of Spring River and Neosho River at the top of Grand Lake. Campgrounds range from 63 semi-modern RV sites with water and electric hookups, some with pull-throughs, to 100 regular sites for tent camping. The park also offers 5 lake huts. There are 6 comfort stations of which 5 have showers. Campgrounds are open year round, although some comfort stations close for the winter.

Twin Bridges State Park offers 5 lake huts, one-room structures with electricity, ceiling fans, heat and screened windows. Outside there are grills, tables, water, and restroom facilities. Cots can be rented at the park office.
