A tourist information office and visitors center providing visitors with information about the local and surrounding area, its attractions and Kerr Lake. Also available are area brochures, state and local maps, calendar of events, restaurant guides and real estate information. A combination walking and driving trail brochure highlighting the historic district of downtown Henderson as well as historic sites throughout Vance county is available for your enjoyment. The Vance County Dept. of Tourism hosts several special events annually. The Independence Day Celebration at Kerr Lake every July with fireworks and entertainment and the "Show, Shine, Shag & Dine" antique and classic car show along with the "East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame & Reunion" event is held every October.
