The oldest grave marker in the cemetery is of Mary Frances Crawford. The friends of Historic Girard has placed a new monument at this sight.

Dr. Strong is buried here, along with many founding family names. It is worth a walk around to see how many you can see.

The current courthouse was built in 1922 and boasts beautiful Italian marble on the inside. Deer Statue, located at the southwest corner of the square, marks the spot Girard Founder, Dr. Charles H. Strong shot a deer and proclaimed that he would build a town on this very spot in 1868
