The Wilson Recreation Center is now the center of activity in this small town just minutes away from the Wilson Lake. The wide range of activities available include: Roller skating and trampolines upstairs; billiards, video games, foosball, pinball and dining on the main floor; and bowling in the basement.

The Midland Railroad Hotel

The native limestone structure was originally built in 1889 as the "Power Hotel." In 1902 a fire gutted the interior of the Hotel leaving the limestone walls. Mr. Samuel Anspaugh agreed to purchase the hotel site if the town would raise the money for interior construction. A fund drive netted $2,250

The third building for the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church was erected in 1911 of veneered brick. It is named for Svaty Vaclay, St. Wenceslaus, the patron saint of Bohemia.
