Beatrice, Nebraska

This church listed on the National Register of Historic Places is an Early Gothic piece of architecture whose cornerstone was laid in 1889. The castellated bell tower forms a very prominent feature, being fifteen and one half feet square and eighty-two feet high. The stair to roof is designed in the form of a turret, circular at the base and octagonal at the top. Another outstanding feature of Christ Church is its unique treasury of stained glass window art. The signature red-tiled crosses that span the roof have captured the attention of generations.
