Benbrook Lake Boating

Benbrook Lake has boat-launching ramps in all parks and at both marinas. These boat ramps are concrete and have from one to three lanes. Courtesy docks are available at several of the ramps. Boat ramps are available year round, however if the lake level falls too low, ramps may not be usable. All boat ramps require a $3.00 fee or possession of an Annual Pass for access, except in the Longhorn Park and Holiday Park day-use areas, and in Mustang Park during the winter season. Fees for ramp use at the two Marinas may differ from the fees in the Corps of Engineers parks. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any boat ramp or courtesy dock. Fishing is not allowed from the courtesy docks. A low speed "No Wake" zone is enforced for all boat ramps.

Longhorn Park on the northeast side of the lake, and has a double- lane boat ramp and an adjacent parking area. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of the boat ramp. A restroom is situated on the hilltop overlook area. The boat ramp is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., April 1 through September 30. It is open 24 hours a day the remainder of the year. No fee is currently required.

Holiday Park day-use area on the west side of the lake has three boat ramps. The first, or northernmost ramp, has two lanes with an adjacent parking area. The second ramp, south of the swimming beach, has a single lane. The third ramp, at the south end of the day-use area, has a single lane. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any of the boat ramps. These boat ramps are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., April 1 through September 30. It is open 24 hours a day the remainder of the year. No fee is currently required for these ramps.

Holiday Park campground has four boat ramps; two with double-wide lanes, two courtesy docks for loading and unloading boats, and adjacent parking areas. The ramp at the south end of the park provides access upstream into the Trinity River. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any the boat ramps. These boat ramps are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day. Purchase of a $3.00 boat launch permit or possession of a valid annual pass is required to access these boat ramps.

Mustang Park - Bear Creek campground has two boat ramps, one with double-wide lanes. The ramp near the park entrance provides access into the Bear Creek channel. The ramp at the north end of the park provides lake access. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any of the boat ramps. These boat ramps are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., April 1 through September 30, and closed the rest of the year. Purchase of a $3.00 boat launch permit or possession of a valid annual pass is required to access these boat ramps.

Mustang Park - Mustang Point campground has two boat ramps, one with double-wide lanes, with adjacent parking areas. During the camping season, April 1 through September 30, the first ramp is for general public use while the second ramp is for use by campers only. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any of the boat ramps. From April 1 through September 30, these boat ramps are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and require the purchase of a $3.00 boat launch permit or possession of a valid annual pass. The rest of the year, the ramps are open 24 hours a day and there is no fee required.

Rocky Creek Park has two boat ramps, one with double-wide lanes, and adjacent parking areas. The first, double-lane boat ramp, provides lake access, while the south ramp provides access into the Rocky Creek channel. Swimming is not permitted in the vicinity of any of the boat ramps. These boat ramps are open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. year-round, and require the purchase of a $3.00 boat launch permit or possession of a valid annual pass.

Benbrook and Rocky Creek Marinas each have a double-lane boat ramp. Hours of availability and fees charged are subject to marina policy.
