Central Nebraska Ethnic Festival

category : FESTIVALS
Join us at this two-time award winning Ethnic Festival in the downtown Grand Island on the
weekend of July 27-29. Experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the world, all in one
location as we celebrate our ethnic diversity. You too, can celebrate your ethnic heritage
and learn more about other cultures in this truly unique experience.

Feel a shiver roll down your spine when the Scottish bag pipes tune up, tap your toes and
clap your hands to the rollicking folk tunes accompanying the Irish Dancers, or reflect on
the past as you watch Native American children demonstrate dances that are a legacy of
their people. These and many more performances bring two stages alive with
back-to-back exciting entertainment throughout the weekend.

Danish kabobs, Indian tacos and wajapi, Greek gyros and baklava, East Indian curry
dishes, Vietnamese egg rolls, Mexican enchiladas, German bratwurst, Swedish rosettes
and much more will fill your senses and your tummy at the food court and beer garden.

Shop the world by visiting the craft booths during the street bazaar and explore your roots
at the Education Pavilion. Included will be community services, genealogy, Hall County
historical information, and cultural groups that make up the kaleidoscope of ethnic diversity
in Central Nebraska.

The best part about the Central Nebraska Ethnic Festival is that it is for everyone! Young,
old, and in between. There?s no admission charge, so there?s no excuse not to be a part of
this fabulous three-day celebration. The whole world will be there!
