Meridian, Texas

Established on the Fourth of July, 1854, Meridian became the seat of the newly created Bosque County. A small log-cabin courthouse was the first structure erected in town. Today, Meridian is a retail center for agricultural activities, and a popular state park is nearby.

Bed and breakfast accommodations are offered in some of the historic buildings.
