First City Museum The museum houses collections of early frontier memorabilia and artifacts including buggies and cutters manufactured in Leavenworth. There is also a mock-up of the United States Penitentiary, plus other prison memorabilia.

A guide will tell you all about old West legends that lived or played in Leavenworth such as Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Generals Sheridan and Sherman, Susan B. Anthony, Carrie Nation, Buffalo Bill Cody and Wild Bill Hickock.
