Heritage House

Built in 1927 to serve as home for the president of Texas A&M University, the Heritage House has been restored to its original elegance, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The two-story modified colonial style structure, with red brick veneer, is decorated with many furnishings and artifacts from former presidents' families. The home has hosted John Philip Sousa, Texas governors, entertainers, and politicians, as well as business and religious leaders.

The house is open for tours and for small receptions. The adjoining Lyday Heritage Gardens were dedicated in 2001 and features antique roses and shaded teakwood benches.
