28 U.S. Ballooning Hall of Fame Induction - The Hall of Fame Induction will be held at the National Balloon Classic Field Pilot Compound located on the east side of the field.

The field is located on Hwy 92 east of Indianola. The event starts at 12 noon on Sunday and runs thru 3PM.

The Museum will be holding an Open House from 9AM to 4PM on Sunday. Free admission.

21IA0712009e011 - Indianola Log Cabin Days Festival - Each year the Warren County Historical Society, Warren County, Iowa, hosts Log Cabin Days that brings local history alive for residents. Volunteers put together meals, a parade at 10am, home made craft booths, a quilt exhibit, entertainment, pioneer demonstrations, tractor and farm equipment display, a bake sale, garage sale, and more. There will be an Antique and Classic Car Show.

Come and enjoy Log Cabin Days with us! Tour our Historical Museum that contains the Warren County Historical /Genealogical Library, kitchen/dining room, and two floors of historical exhibits including a large collection of Winchester Tools, McCoy Pottery, and an authentic to scale model train exhibit built by the Modular Rail Roaders. The Historical Village has a log cabin, Mt.Hope Country School, Pioneer Church, South River Quaker Meeting House, George Washington Carver Museum, Large Machinery Building, and General Store. Bring the family!

21 'Saturday on the Square' Art Fair - Art and artisan crafts for sale around the square, sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association. There will also be demonstrations of various art and craft techniques and entertainment. Enjoy the leisure pace of the historic Indianola square for a little shopping or to grab a bite to eat.

8 Indianola Holiday Extravaganza - Fun, food, music and holiday shopping. Please join us for our annual Holiday Extravaganza lighted parade as we welcome Santa and his reindeer Mistletoe and Jingles. After the parade, hop on over to Santa's workshop where you can share your holiday wishes with the head elf himself, have your photo taken, snack on a sugar cookie and make a holiday craft. You may also enjoy watching our chainsaw artist create a beautiful carving of a holiday favorite. Carvings will be available through a silent auction. Please join us as we kick off the holiday season.
