John Wesley once preached at Pon Pon Chapel, a pre-Revolutionary church near Jacksonboro, off SC 64, near the tomb of Isaac Hayne. There are only ruins left now. A historic marker for Parker's Ferry marks the place of some impressive earthworks probably dating from the Revolution. In 1782
