Public Fossil Dig
- A 60-million-year-old fossil site containing crocodile, champsosaur (crocodile-like animal), turtle and fish fossils has recently been discovered in the beautiful and scenic Badlands. Basic packages includes dig, chuckwagon breakfast, sack lunch, transportation to and from dig site, bottled water and T-shirt.Special packages also include lodging, tickets for the Medora Musical and pitchfork steak fondue.Preregistration is required. Payment is due at time of registration. Limited to 8 people per day. Must be 12 years or older. Participants ages 12-18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Registration ends June 14. Independence Day Parade
- INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION Celebrate the birthday of our great nation at the most magical place in North Dakota. At 11 am MDT on July 4th, there will be a parade commencing on the east end of town and finishing back in that same spot. All floats are welcome. (lineup for the parade starts at 10 am MDT) Immediately following Gwen Sebastian's concert and that night's Medora Musical, a professionally produced fireworks show will light up the Badlands and astound your eyes.
