Smithville Lake Horse Trails

category : Equestrian
Horseback riding trails are open to the public at public accesses 22-24. The shoreline trail is approximately 10 miles in length and the boundary trail is approximately 6 miles in length. Hiking and mountain biking are allowed on the horse trail but the trails are rough and difficult, with some steep drops into creek beds. Trails are unpaved or chipped and there are no footbridge crossings or drinking water available.

For more information and a trail brochure contact the Corps of Engineers office. Camping for horseback riders is available in Crow's Creek Park. A section of trail links the camping area to the main horsetrail.
