- The best quilt show in Franklin County, Vermont features over 100 quilts, viewers' choice awards, Mayor's Award, vendors, Silent Auction, demonstrations, door prize and Raffle--1st prize is a queen-size quilt made by guild members. Special exhibits include Purple Heart Quilts, Breast Cancer Quilts, 2008 Charity Quilt for the Franklin County Humane Society, and charity quilts for numerous local organizations supporting the Franklin County and Grand Isle County communities. Throughout the weekend demonstrations of cannon drills, musket firing, routine militia patrols and residential camp life bring the smells, sights and sounds of a bygone era to the historic town green.|

St. Albans Raid
- Join us for the 150th anniversary of the US Civil War Raid. This was the Northernmost land action of the Civil War. It will take place in Taylor Park, St. Albans, Vermont. The Raid impacted other towns as well as the Confederates went through other towns on their way to Canada. The Raid took place on October 19, 1864. Halloween Pumpkin Lighting
