24 Kaw City Museum Reunion - A reunion of Kaw City is held each Memorial Day weekend. It is an opportunity for people from the old town to visit with each other and to get to know the people new to town.

July

5 Christmas in July - Christmas in July is Kaw City's most celebrated annual event. Festivities begin with a BBQ Dinner and Street Dancing. Hundreds flock to participate in events ranging from a Sand Sculpture contest, a childrens "Fish Chase contest", an "Iron Mam Obstcale Course", to fun games for the everyone. After a fun day, the highlight of the event begins at dusk with the spectacular lighted boat flotilla on the lake, followed by a dazzling fireworks display!

1 - 3 Kaw Nation Pow Wow - Experience Native American culture at the Kaw Nation Powwow. Watch as members of the Kaw Nation dawn their dazzling regalia and compete in numerous traditional dance contests like fancy dancing. The powwow also offers an extensive selection of food and craft vendors for guests to enjoy during the day.
