Event Details
Billed as the largest Armed Forces Day Parade in the nation, this May event boasts more than 100 entries each year. Parade at 10am from Central Mall to Elmer Thomas Park followed by all-day events including free concert, food, activities, vendors and fireworks.

The Jackson County Courthouse was built in 1910 of native granite. A noticeable feature of the structure is the artful contrast of the red granite foundation, and most remarkable is the size of the granite blocks which undoubtedly has given the structure its stability throughout the years.
