This downtown memorial honors oil industry giant, Earl P. Halliburton, founder of Halliburton Services, an international oil service company that began in Duncan and became the city's largest employer.

On The Chisholm Trail Statue

Oklahoma's largest bronze sculpture (16' high and 35" long) stands in Duncan, adjacent to the museum. The sculpture shows a chuch wagon followed by longhorn cattle on the move northward. Cowboys are intent on the herd. Of interest to young observers is the trail dog trotting alongside.

Stephens County Historical Museum

The Stephens County Museum, located at the old National Guard Armory, was accepted into the National Registry of Historic Places in the Spring of 1997.
