Event Details
Santa City is an annual event involving putting up Christmas decorations in Fike Park and turning the Scout Hut into a winter wonderland where Santa can be found.
Santa City is open weekends for both children and the "young at heart" starting the day after Thanksgiving on weekends, and then in the evenings the last 2 weeks before Christmas until Dec 24th.
It is a holiday wonderland with charming scenes of woodland characters, and of course Santa and Mrs. Santa. No admission charged, but donations are accepted. Santa City is funded entirely through donations.

Biggest Barn in Kansas
The Cooper Barn is one of the largest barns in Kansas and holds a wealth of Thomas County History. The cattle barn was built in 1936 and was part of the Foster Farms operation. The barn is 66 feet wide, 114 feet long and 48 feet high. It was moved to the site in 1992 and houses the exhibit "

The Lone Star Presbyterian Church denotes the strong religious faith of the settlers. The Charming white country church was built in 1915 north of Gem, Kansas. In 1988, the building was moved to the museum site. It was the third time the building had been moved.
