One of the most exhilarating vacation adventures in Northwest Oklahoma is the Great Western Cattle Drive. Seasoned cattlehands ride along with the greenhorns and 'city slickers' in an old west cattle drive straight out of the 1800s. The South Canadian River Cattle Company was organized to host this exciting adventure. To experience the adventure of herding cattle along the trail, visitors have even traveled from such faraway places as Germany, Japan, and Canada.

Katy Depot

This station sat on the Wichita Falls and Northwestern Railroad, one of the original Kemp & Kell lines radiating from Wichita Falls, Texas. The Katy took over the line and it became the "Northwest Branch" until it was abandoned North of Altus in 1972
