1904 Carnegie Library Building The 1904 Carnegie Library Building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, housed the Lyon County Historical Museum for 36 years from 1980 to 2016.The brick structure, in the Gothic Revival style, has double wooden entrance doors and a stone portal that forms a mitered arch opening. A terra cotta wall ornament above the entrance identifies the structure as a library. Bays topped by crenellated parapets, mitered arches, battlements and stepped gable edges reflect the style of 16th and 17th century England. The interior is highlighted by oak woodwork and a wall of leaded glass windows facing the front foyer.
