Event Details

Celebrate the 4th of July in historic Marysville, KS! Start the day off with a Fun Run at the Blue River Rail Trail at 9:00 a.m., followed by an all day Kickball Tournament at Lakeview Sports Complex, and free swimming at the new Marysville Acquatic Center. Fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m. at Lakeview Sports Complex.

After the Union Pacific Railroad converted to diesel power in the early 1950s, Marysville, a crew-change point, asked for and received the great old steam locomotive on display in City Park, a Baldwin Consolidation 2-8-0, built in 1901 for UP, later used for short-line freight hauls.
