Lindsborg, Kansas

The Raymer Society for the Arts presents Lester Raymer's Red Barn Studio and the Raymer home which showcases his collection of artwork and handmade toys, masks, banners, ceramics, mosaics, cast figures, planters, paintings, carved furniture, tin ornaments, prints, jewelry, and carved boxes. Today the Barn also serves artist-in-residence programs.

Höglund Dugout

Arriving in the fall of 1868, Gustaf Hoglund proceeded to dig a dugout to serve as some protection. The dugout served as the family home until 1874. The Smoky Valley Historical Association maintains the Hoglund Dugout, now a historical site marking an example of an early Scandinavian home.

Coronado Heights

Coronado Heights is a twenty-six acre virgin prairie park overlooking the Smoky Valley. The first buildings of Lindsborg were at the foot of this hill. Legend says it was also a lookout for Coronado's party on their 1541 journey into Kansas. This is one of the two highest lookout points in Kansas.
