Event Details
Garden City Model Train Show presented by the Boot Hill Model Railroad Club. Entertainment for the entire family with operating layouts, exhibitor displays and vendor booths. Admission is good for both days. Open Saturday, 10am to 6pm and Sunday, 11am to 4pm. Admission: Adults $6. Children under 10 free with a paid adult. Location: Exhibition Building at the Finney County fairgrounds.(409 Lake Avenue, Garden City KS)

The "Big" Pool
Our pool is about half a city block in size and it holds 2.5 million gallons of water! Our "little" swimming hole is open during the summer months.

This four story hotel was sometimes referred to as the "Waldorf of the Prairies". In 1887, John A. Stevens built the hotel next to the Opera House (the Opera House no longer exists). it was built of native stone and brick kilned locally. It contained 125 rooms, no closets and few bathrooms.
